We all know what it feels like to fall off the wagon now and again. Even die-hard fitness enthusiasts and athletes need a break. But, sometimes that break leads to continuous missed workouts, which leads to poor eating and bad habits. particularly around the holidays

The good news is, it's never too late to start-up again. No matter how far off track you have gotten or how many pounds you have packed on, don't despair. The key is to really find the right mind set. Are you really ready to be healthy again? Have you promised yourself or others that this is the last time, the last bite, the last day of laziness or procrastination? Ask yourself what it really is that you want for yourself.

Wouldn't it feel great to feel confident again? How much value is there in knowing that no matter where you are or who you are with, when you enter a room or come into contact with unfamiliar people, you can look great, be healthy and exude self assurance? For most, these attributes are highly powerful tools in unlocking our positive self-esteem and potential in life, not just in the physical self but in the emotional and mental self. Do you realize that fitness and health affect your job, your sleep, your relationships and just about any other category that you can think of.

How we feel about ourselves is written in our body language and the way we present ourselves to the world, whether knowingly or otherwise.

Are you a mother? Perhaps a father, a sister, a brother, son or daughter...even a friend? Do you value these relationships? If you answered yes, which I'm sure you did, then don't you want to be around to enjoy and nurture these relationships? You can be the example you seek in life . You not only have the power to change the course of your own life, but also those of others.

They say that misery loves company but I say that positive, outwardly happy people are much more influential in life. Ever notice how people drop off the face of the earth one by one when you have had a bout of constant complaining or irritable tirades? WHo wants to be around that? Not me and certainly not you! Change your life from within and you will undoubtedly change your life on the outside. The moment of change starts with your mindset, it starts with your commitment to change. Every second of everyday you must continuously remind yourself that you are more important than the ten minute indulgence of a double quarter pounder with cheese or a night out that is  filled with high caloric food and several downed midnight martinis.

Developing a new habit takes 21 days of consistency. 21 days! That is 21 days of a bit of work and a bit of struggle that will lead to a lifetime of positive change. Things become easier each and every day and especially so when you have positive people encouraging you along the way. Surround yourself with those who want to see you succeed and support the decisions that you have made to be a healthier individual. We are here as a community on our forums, e-mails, training systems and blogs. We are all ears! Make today your day number 1 of 21 and soon you will be at day 200 looking back and wondering how you could have ever lasted a day without fitness in your life.

We welcome you to a new world of possibility! Welcome to the new you!

I couldn't agree with you more! I changed how I thought about food and myself and have lost 10 pounds because of it. It's not easy, but I keep telling myself I am worth it!

You forgot to mention the twig-like surfboards with hair like myself, but your point is taken. I like this site so far. Hopefully I can get some of my questions answered.
