Workout Buddy

It becomes pretty tough around the holidays to stay on track with our goals. We cling to every excuse in the book from decorating, shopping, cooking and festive parties...but what about our goals? This is the time to stack your arsenal and prepare yourself for battle. What better way to strengthen your commitment and your relationships than to team up with a buddy! Teaming up with a partner will help you to stay focused while giving you some social time to look forward to. Studies show that you are 68% more likely to accomplish your goals when you have a partner meeting up with you and spotting you through your exercises. Other added benefits include: healthy competion, motivation and a strong support system from someone who has been in the trenches with you. Be sure to verbalize your goals to this person and ask them to help you through temptations, especially around the holidays. Consider this person your spotter and your insurance that you are not the only one who cares that you make it to the finish line. Come up with a plan before heading out to parties and events together, before you know it, you will have your other friends joining in on the fun and support!

This is very true, it is more motivation when you have someone to workout with then when you do it alone.

I'll team up with you Mickie! Do you want to meet here on the forums a couple of days a week? I think you can message me directly on my member's page too. I'll send you a message there. I could really use the motivation and having someone keep track of me. The temptations to eat junk is really tough with all of the parties from here until Christmas. S.O.S.!

Have you thought about pairing up virtual buddies on here through your members? It would be cool if there was someone on here that I could keep track of and they could do the same for me.
